As promised, our new server is now up and running! We have successfully transferred all hosting packages on to the new server.
Now that the migration has taken place, your site will be running on a different IP address. We have included below the old IP address(es) and new IP address(es). Both server’s will be running concurrently until ALL packages have updated their DNS information.
Update - What you need to do ASAP!
If your domain name has been registered with us, then you will not need to make any changes to your website or domain name.
If your domain name is not registered with us but is delegated to our server for DNS (as detailed below), then you will not need to update your DNS delegation as it will be automatically picked up at the time of the server migration.
If your domain name is not registered with us, and is NOT delegated to our server, then you will be required to update the DNS ‘A’ records for your domain NOW! (A record IP 103.225.186.14)
If you are unsure about delegation, we encourage you to contact us to discuss how these changes will affect you and what needs to be done to ensure a smooth transition during this migration.
Please Note: If you are required to change your DNS settings and you do not do so ASAP, any changes made after the time of the migration will be lost. Plus your website will go offline when we shut down the old server.
NOTE: If you are using the old server path (server1.rhyemedia.com.au) as your mail or ftp connection please ensure you also update these details once propagation has been completed.

You may remember our original post back in November last year detailing that we were going to move our data centre to a more secure location. When we were about to start the process we found that our IP addresses weren't transportable and decided it best to delay the move.
We’ll the process has now begun and we have outlined the update details below so you can see how this move will affect you.
Statement
As part of our continual effort to improve the hosting services we offer, we're pleased to announce that our server will be soon relocating to a new Melbourne based data centre. The move will be to a Tier-III data centre to provide additional network and infrastructure redundancy, as well as increased security for sensitive applications, especially those under PCI regulations.
The first stage to this migration is that we are required to move all our servers and systems onto a new IP address space to support our data centre move. This IP migration must take place before we physically move data centres.
The new server will be ready by the morning of Wednesday 19th March. We are happy to work with you to find a date and time after this point which is mutually agreeable to perform your accounts migration.
After the migration has taken place, your site will run on a different IP address. We have included below a table showing the old (current) IP address(es) and new IP address(es).
Old Server Hostname |
Old Server IP |
server1.rhyemedia.com.au |

What you need to do
If your domain name has been registered with us, then you will not need to make any changes to your website or domain name.
If your domain name is not registered with us but is delegated to our server for DNS, then you will not need to update your DNS delegation as it will be automatically picked up at the time of the server migration.
If your domain name is not registered with us, and is NOT delegated to our server, then you will be required to update the DNS ‘A’ record for your domain soon after the migration.
If you are unsure about delegation, we encourage you to contact our support team to discuss how these changes will affect you and what needs to be done to ensure a smooth transition during this migration.
Please Note: If you are required to change your DNS settings and you do not do so, your website will go offline at the time of the migration.
Once we have all of our servers and systems moved across to the new IP space, a separate date will be set for the physical data centre move. A separate notice will be sent at a later date confirming the date and time for this move.
We recommend you are contactable via email or phone with contact details on your user support account.
