As we have discussed over the last fortnight, Rhye Media made the change to a new server which is now entirely dedicated to the websites we host. The full migration occurred yesterday, with only fifteen minutes of downtime.
If you happened to miss our updates in this newsfeed, on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and made changes to your website yesterday, they may have been lost. Be sure to check the site for any discrepancies, as you might have to re-make the changes so they can be saved to the new server.
There was a slight issue this morning with a MYSQL failure. If you have a dynamic website, this means that you would have had script errors appearing on your pages for a brief amount of time. We've done a reboot of the system and everything is now working fine, but please keep an eye on your site and let us know if you have any further issues.
On an unrelated note, if you're running a Joomla CMS, you need to update your CMS to 2.5.16. Upon inspection of the earlier, short-lived release of 2.5.15, Joomla discovered vulnerabilities in their security. In order to protect yourself from third party intrusions, follow the instructions provided at the link to Joomla's official site above, or create a ticket with our User Support system.
And finally, we hope that you observed a minute's silence at 11am this morning, the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in remembrance of those who bravely fought in WWI and all wars in the 95 years since. This silence echoes the moment in 1918 when the guns of Europe's Western Front fell silent after four long, hard years of conflict. We are proudly wearing our red poppies, a symbol of life after death on the battlefields of northern France and Belgium, and we hope you are too.
Lest we forget.
